These lovely phots were taken at the duck pond really close to my house. the sun was setting and it was beautiful outside so it was a perfect chance to take me some pictures. there was also an adorable little puppy there named Kiwi who I did not hesitate to take glamour shots of. enjoy!

These photos were taken on spring break, located in fort walton beach florida. Its actually pretty dangerous to take your camera down there because the sand is so fine it creates a hazy film on your lens and can damage your camera. So a few of these are taken from my parents balcony window which overlooked the beach, and others were taken on a walk with the softball team, i never actually got brave enough to take my camera down to the beach.

these pictures were taken in pigeon forge tennessee at a cabin that i stayed in over the weekend. most of these were different views that we had from outside our window and it was an absolutely amazing place to stay. thee are a lot of pictures of the fog because i thought it was absolutely fascinating.

So its now March 8th and this was supposed to be posted 2 weeks ago, but i have an absolutely spectacular excuse as to why. after being hit by a drunk driver a few friday nights ago i was a little shaken up, to make things worse the next day i got really sick really fast. I got taken away on an ambulance and only got back to close to 100% a few days ago. Not that that really mattered because just 2 days ago i got my wisdom teeth removed and missed out on lots of action again. So here are my pictures, much delayed but very much worth it.

Since there is very little wildlife in the open to photgraph at this point and time during the year I have decided to switch weaker subjects entirely, moving from wildlife to portraiture. I like portraiture much better and I think its also an area that I need to improve upon so from now on my weak shoots will be on that. These pictures were taken at a basketball game, as most of my subjects are on the team or are required to be at the games, and i think that next time i will try to do more outdoors, if mother nature permits, just to mix things up a bit.

So things are a bit different this semester, instead of picking a topic of my choice every week I’ll be shooting one of my weaker areas 4 times and my stronger area 4 times. My weaker area is wildlife. I never really considered doing many wildlife photos and after picking this topic i figured out why. theres not much wildlife around here. So this past week I really didnt have much time at all to devote to finding animals of the wildlife sort, and the closest I got was my mutt Mo in my backyard, not exactly wildlife but close enough right?

him playing with a squeaky toy

It seems to be a bit of a habit lately to take my pictures from the seat of a bicycle, but this week was my first one to do in the dark. So since i was on a bike i didnt have a tripod which made nighttime photos a bit of a challenge, but overall i loved taking these pictures. it gave me a different perspective of christmas, and i ran into a few interesting people-some sober some not- while taking these pictures. Since this is my last assignment for the semester hopefully i made it good.
enjoy!

a bench in triangle park, you can kinda see the reflection of the lights on the christmas tree

a larger than life candy cane, i dont think its edible though

a few ornaments

my favorite from this shoot.

the bottom view of an ornament with the lights to the left
so originally i was supposed to do abstract for my subject this past week, but as i looked back over all my pictures i found that i took much better portraiture ones, and they were also more numerous. so i decided to flip flop my topics and use portraiture this week. I took these pictures hiking in the smoky mountains with my family for thanksgiving, and i wouldn’t go as far as to say it was fun, but it was certainly interesting. enjoy.
