portraiture dos feb 9th

you know the first word that came to your mind was "awwwww!"
Kids say and do the darndest things, so the focus of this weeks shoot was the beautiful babies is the nursery at my church. they absoutely loved having their pictures taken and started throwing hissyfits whenever i put my camera away. i loved taking these pictures, it was tons of fun and the kids were wonderful subjects.

my mother and my pressley. hes adorable.

close up of him, he was a little on the sick side

this is meredith. she likes to eat things.

she takes talking on the phone to a whole new level.

as stated in previous blogs, i love hands.

she dropped her toy.

meredith playing

my mom and pressley playing

she was learning how to clap

by far my favorite picture of the day.

apparently he liked to hide under the table.

colin awake

the hand of colin, a 6 week old sleepin baby

- a self portrait of sorts, of course it would be my hand.

Awww they are sooo cute! These are really well done as well! I love the close-ups of their faces, espcially when they don’t look at the camera! The kids are great subjects!

These are really well done, great variety as usual, some repeats of the same subjects, but you did different poses which was nice to see. I think the first shot is the best and then the one that you thought was the best was my favorite second. Lighting was really good on these, well lit and nice soft focus on some of them.

wooah. these are very good. there were a couple that i thought were too bright, but other than that, you nailed this one. there’s variety in the angles and poses, lighting is excellent in most of them, you got some untraditional quirky shots, personality came through. the whole shibang. again, i’d like to see you do posed portraits. i think it would be a way for you to get out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself.

I love these pictures. they are adorable! you are getting alot better in capturing emotion in your portraiture shots. my favorite one would have to be the very first photo. The variety in the shots is really good too.
